Liberty Day is finally here once again! New ways of spreading managed democracy, a swifter way of changing gear between missions and much more. Liberty for all!
New content:
• Added Proving Grounds. A new game mode where Helldivers can hone their skills by completing unique replayable challenges.
• Added Favorite Loadouts.
• Added Random Loadouts.
Fixed:
• City Defend Events now have difficulty 15 missions available as well.
• Fixed an issue causing the M-25 'Rumbler' to get infinite ammo from forced quick reloads.
Changed:
• It is now possible to skip the Galactic War Summary.
• The AT-47 Anti-Tank Emplacement shells now do damage to the Emplacement if firing at close range targets.
• AD-289 'Angel' and AD-334 'Guard Dog' will return to backpack to rearm if left idle for a while.
• Increased damage and fire rate for AC-22 'Dum-Dum'.
• FLAM-40 'Incinerator' now leaves swaths of fire in its wake.
• Strong Arm now increases melee damage as well.

New content
• Added the M2016 ‘Constitution’, a bolt action rifle used for ceremonial purposes. While not recommended to bring into the field, it is certainly possible to use for the very skilled or the very brave.
• Added the Liberty cape in celebration of Liberty Day!
• Added the Community cape, can be presented by the developers to outstanding individuals in the community.
• Added the Developer cape, now you can recognize the devs in the wild.

Fixes
• Fixed an issue where you regained sprint stamina while meleeing. The sprint-melee spam technique should no longer work.
• Fixed an issue where the convoy objective would travel into an obelisk wall before it was formed causing it to be destroyed instantly. Walls should now stop before hitting the convoy just like other objectives.
• Fixed an issue with a white rectangle flickering in the character customization screen.
• Fixed the statistic bars of the AT-47 to better represent the actual upgrades.

Balance changes
• The AT-47 now has 5 less ammunition without upgrades and 10 more when upgraded with Mk3. The result is that a fully upgraded AT-47 will have 5 more shots than before.
• The LAS-13 ‘Trident’ has had its damage lowered, it was overperforming previously.
• The LAS-16 ‘Sickle’ has had it’s damage lowered very slightly.

• Improved network connection timeouts.
• Escort Convoys should no longer pass through Obelisk Walls.
• Improved the detection of if the war was lost or won. Players should no longer get the wrong cinematic.
• Improved the collision for artillery shell objectives. This will hopefully stop them from falling through the ground.
• An objective you carry can now no longer be failed while you are carrying it, meaning shortcuts are possible.
• Fix for getting stuck in a dead/alive limbo.
• Fixed an abuse where meleeing whilst disarming an Unexploded Ordnance would keep the interact combo and not set it off.

• Fixed an issue where disconnecting/being kicked/failing to join would disable the microphone.
• Fixed an issue where picked up research samples would not get saved if you got disconnected during mission end screen.
• Fixed an issue where the AT-47 would hit any obstacle regardless of height.

• Fixed an issue causing players to be able to one hand support weapons while carrying an objective.
• Fixed an accuracy issue caused by using Close Air Support.
• Fixed an issue with the Scorcher’s reload sound effect.
• Fixed a few German translation errors.
• Fixed a rare occurrence of players getting stuck in the same seat in a vehicle.
• Fixed an issue where your stratagem controls would not get inverted when confused by an Illuminate Illusionist or Council Member.
• Fixed an issue where sometimes the Rumbler Support weapon would not spawn from its drop pod.

Balance changes:
• When playing solo in Retaliatory Strikes you will start with 2 Auto-Reinforces and a ‘Shredder’ Missile Strike will clear the area when you respawn.
• Retaliatory strikes frequency has been lowered to max one per planet and approximately one occurrence on every third planet.

New Mission type: Retaliatory strike!
Dive into the enemy's stronghold and fight until you have decimated their strength. Expect wave after wave of enemies to challenge your presence.

Added:
• Ranks 31-50
• New visual customization set awarded at level 50.

Fixes:
• Additional deaths from players that left your game before the mission end will now be represented in the final tally.
• Fixed issue where Tesla towers would bypass the Illuminate enemy shields and kill them in one shot.
• Fixed a rare crash related to particles.

Balance changes:
• TOX-13 Avenger tick damage reduced slightly.

• Illuminate Obelisks no longer oneshots turrets and has a new targeting AI.
• Fixed issue where the VO would cut off early
• Fixed an issue where remaining ammunition would not be displayed properly on weapons with upgraded magazine size.

• Fixed an issue where the black box would still have an outline even if the objective had failed.
• Fixed an issue where the Rumbler mortar would destroy your shield once fired.
• Fixed an issue where the Rumbler would have 4 shots before upgrading and 2 with the first upgrade. It now has 2 shots and 4 after upgrading.
• Fixed an issue where “Why wasn’t this standard issue?” wasn’t awarded properly.
• Fixed an issue where all public games were shown as difficulty 12 in the server browser.
• Fixed an issue where local co-op players were not awarded the “Make Frank kill a tank” trophy.
• Fixed an issue where dropped weapons sometimes wouldn’t show their name.
• Fixed an issue where the Displacement Field Perk had 10 seconds recharge instead of it's intended 35 seconds.
• Fixed an issue with weapons applying status effects to targets. This was previously bugged over network and would apply status effects to enemies even if they didn’t take any damage.
o Submachineguns and Flamer weapons now has to do damage to the target to apply their status effect. The AR-14 ‘Paragon’ Also needs to do damage to apply it’s poison.
o Railgun, fire explosions, and the TOX-13 ‘Avenger’ apply status effects to all non-immune targets.

Balance changes
• MG-94 now receives 2 magazines instead of 1 on ammo pickup.
• TOX-13 ‘Avenger’ now does less direct damage and more damage over time.
• EAT-17 is now capable of taking out all lower tier armored targets in 1 shot.
• Plasma gun now does slightly lower direct damage, starting magazines lowered from 5 to 4, max magazines increased from 7 to 8.
• REC-6 'Demolisher' now has increased cooldown from 2 min to 3.
• AC-22 ‘Dum-Dum’ now has higher aimspeed.
• Laser cannon now has lowered aimspeed to match other shoulder carried heavy weapons.

• A new threat to the security of Super Earth has emerged! Enemy Master units have been located and can now be attacked in each region. Before you can begin your assault you need to gather influence in the region and be at least Rank 6. Once you have gathered enough influence and started the assault, you have three hours to defeat the enemy Master before the opportunity is lost.

• Changed how the low death count works. Your team can now die as many times as the difficulty of the mission and still receive the low death bonus.

• Added a new control method for Tracked Vehicles. More info can be found in the encyclopedia.

• Fixed a crash with cloud saves.

• Fixed an issue with unkillable Illuminate units.

• Now possible to receive the Slayer capes by completing a difficulty 12 planet for each race
• Fixed bug where standing info (number of commends available) would get reset between each mission
• Unexploded ordnance no longer spawn outside of objective search areas
• Fixed bug where players could get stuck in vehicles when the vehicle was destroyed, fixes issue where players would teleport across the map once the vehicle was despawned
• Carry objectives are now failed earlier when dropped into chasms, should decrease likelihood of carry objectives becoming stuck in unreachable places, rendering the mission impossible to complete

• Mission-end star for low death-count now counts every player’s deaths, not only the host’s

Version 02.00


The enemies of mankind grow stronger as they turn up the heat in their futile war against Super Earth. Each hostile race has received a new addition to their forces and will be more dangerous than ever.
• Three new enemies will now appear on missions.

We now have the ability to engage enemies on highly volcanic planets. These planets are oppressively hot and have many dangers such as lava pools and vents that explode with overpressure.
• Volcanic planets are now available.

The Super Earth government has extended the HELLDIVERS mandate and added additional objectives to our responsibility. They include repairing damaged artillery installations, searching for and disarming unexploded ordnance, and performing geological surveys.
• Three new objectives will now appear on missions.

Version 01.04


Several Galactic Wide Web improvements have been made by Super Earth Command, resulting in:

• Improved Cross-Friends discoverability: You can now request game info from any friend and receive up to date info from them.
• Trophies not received from participation in War 2 should be granted if the user accesses the Armory.
• Other Helldivers met should now show up in the "Recent Players Met" section on the PS4™ system.
• Each Helldiver now receives 10 Commends every week.
• Influence displayed for the attack events is now shown in the galactic map.
• Manually triggering Cross-Saves allowing you to be certain that your savegame has been uploaded to the cloud.

Furthermore Super Earth now allows for Helldivers to share their specially requested equipment with other local Helldivers (DLC is now shared with other local players while in the same game.)

Several equipment failures have also been corrected:

• Veteran controller no longer affects APC speed.
• Veteran controller mode added on the PS3™ system.
• Placing POI on the map no longer results in vehicle exit.
• Jump packs no longer disappear after death.
• Healing with REP80 no longer causes the game to crash.
• Save icon no longer continuously displays.
• Players no longer find themselves stuck in vehicles.
• Turret turnspeed upgrades now functions correctly.
• Camera now works as intended when in an APC.
• Illuminate Councilmember now appears in the encyclopedia .
• Minimap now closes when applying throttle in the HAV/APC.
• Minimap pings and laser sights should now be more easily discerned by colour blind people.

Due to the ongoing war effort, Super Earth Command has instituted a new policy for ammunition conservation, resulting in the EXO-44 'Walker' Exosuit being deployed with smaller ammunition reserves for its minigun.

Other equipment changes are:

• The Airstrike Stratagem now has a shorter callin time and does more damage.
• The Distractor Stratagem now has a smaller area in which it attracts patrols.

Intel reports from the front warn that the Illuminate have adopted new tactics for their combat units. Be alert when confronting them in field.

Several general crashes and minor issues have also been fixed, and we would like to thank the community for their support in reporting these.
