General Issues
●	Fixed an issue where Nice or High Quality harvestables would disappear from Sims’ inventories after Travel or Save/Load.
●	Fixed an issue where Freelancer Career tasks would not complete after Sims would Travel.
●	Fixed an issue in which the game would jump to Ultra Speed randomly when some Service NPC, specifically Maids, were on the Lot. Talk about speed cleaning!
●	Photo frames used within Gallery Uploads would not retain their chosen color once those lots were downloaded from The Gallery. They’ve been properly chastised and will listen to you now.
●	Freelancer gigs can now complete and/or update accordingly while on Vacation. So if you want to work while you vacay I guess you can now. Sucker.
●	Fixed an issue where two “Tuck In” interactions were able to be selected when Children slept on any bed.
●	Sims that were seated at a 6 seat round table can now clean up the dishes.
●	Child Sims will now be able to enjoy Quick Meals again!
●	Fixed an issue where Sims didn’t write a genre book when “Write Genre Book” was selected.
●	Multiple duplicate interactions should no longer appear in pie menus when you have certain objects in your inventory.
○	Some example interactions that were reported: “Play Fetch”, ”Give Potion”, “Blackmail”, “Scan Here”. The LastException related to this issue should also be fixed.
●	The Jet Set Luxury Bath was listed as being Unbreakable when but Sims took that as a challenge and broke it. It has been recalled and fixed so now it truly is unbreakable.
●	Speaking of Unbreakable, we fixed an issue with Hot Tubs and Stereos where unbreakable upgrades would not work if these objects were in use when upgrading them.
○	Still not sure a stereo and hot tub are the best combo from a safety perspective
●	Fixed an issue in which some Sims could stand on, or walk through solid objects.
○	Specifically Baby Bassinets… 
●	Adding a Sim to an existing household via the Create a Sim Stories feature will no longer subtract Simoleons from the household.
●	You can now extinguish a fire, even if the fire is within another object.
○	This could occur if a large object caught fire. You would have to wait until the fire spread outside the bounds of the large object in order to extinguish it.
●	Sims can now Scrap the unfinished paintings of visiting Sims
○	Artistic types can be so rude, just leaving their unfinished work for you to clear up
●	Light intensity will no longer reset when setting Auto Lights options
●	Fixed an issue which made the item Tiny Globe & Sycee of the Prosperous Moon appear twice in Build Mode
●	Half Wall Trim can now be applied to half walls on all levels of your lot
●	Fixed an issue that caused Lots downloaded from The Gallery to be placed backwards and not being able to rotate them to an appropriate view
●	Households downloaded from The Gallery should now have their starting funds set to the correct amount, and not just the base 20,000 Simoleons
●	Child Sims will no longer receive Whims related to workouts
●	Walls no longer disappear when Taking a Photo in a Basement level room that does not have a staircase
●	Fixed an issue in which Hygiene was not being resolved when Taking a Shower on any Bathtub and Shower Combo
●	Bookshelves will no longer have the option to purchase University books if you do not own Discover University
●	Sims will no longer flicker on and off the landing pad, when in the Rocket Ship using the WooHoo or Try for Baby interactions
●	Sims in the Supreme Villain career working on the mischief interaction task can now use the Slablet to Troll the Forums to complete the task
●	Small rugs can no longer be placed over the cutouts created by stairs
●	Caterer Sims will now be able to make a Cake and complete their Party event goals

Get Together
●	Toddlers will now route appropriately when selecting ‘Plan Outfit’ on Closets. Well, as appropriately as those slow little Sims move anyway

Get To Work
●	Aliens will now display selected options for Eyebrows and Beards accurately in Create A Sim.
●	Fixed an issue where Scientist Sims would record their findings in Notebooks twice.
●	Fixed an issue where Scientist Sims would record their findings in Notebooks twice.
○	Oh wait, now I see where they picked up that habit.
●	We addressed an issue that could prevent Sims from not being able to ring up customers who attempt to purchase from the warming rack.
●	Some boots, along with the Sims feet, were disappearing when the camera was zoomed all the way out. This should no longer occur.
●	The "Refer for Surgical Treatment" interaction is now available on surgery tables that have had their color altered with the bb.enablefreebuild cheat.

City Living
●	There were a number of confusing situations that arose as a result of Invites your Sims would receive. In some cases these would appear as two invites for the same event, one that was the “hey, I just wanted you to know” invite, and the other would be the real invite.
○	Some Sims just want you to know that their invite was coming by sending a pre-invite I guess.
●	Sims with the Shrewd reward trait weren’t as shrewd as they thought they were. We have restored their shrewd’ness and they should now actually receive the money they so rightfully shrewded away at the end of each week.
○	We blame it on bad investments, the cd market apparently didn’t mean compact discs.
●	Fixed an issue in which some shirts in Create A Sim would not tuck in appropriately into skinny jeans.

Seasons
●	Sims can now complete New Year resolutions on any lot, and not just their home lots.
●	The Lottery Holiday is back in your calendars! It should not be a surprise disappearing act any longer.
●	Solved an issue with swimwear that made it display incorrectly and no one wants a swimsuit malfunction!
●	We spoke to the Holiday Gnomes and they have agreed to stop dropping seed packets if your Sims are not on Lot when the Holiday ends.
○	They wanted to spread holiday cheer… or they were attempting to bring about the end of Simanity, and usher in a new world order. Tomayto, tomahto.
●	Fixed an issue where Weather would affect items inside buildings.
●	Flower Bunny’s contract has been renewed for them to appear on any Holiday or Tradition that they are scheduled to.
●	Mandrake and Valerian Root plants are now able to be planted indoors when it is Too Cold if Simmers have Realm of Magic installed.
●	Holiday Gnomes will no longer break Unbreakable objects when having a negative relationship with them.
○	We don’t know what was done to make them angry, but even as magical as they are, they should not be breaking the Unbreakable.
●	The pedestal gnome will no longer spawn as part of the Harvestfest gnomes tradition.

Get Famous
●	Married Celebrity Sim Couples will no longer React in Disgust with each other then they enter the same room.
○	They are just a B-list celebrity though, can you blame them?
●	Household members will no longer react to members with Pristine Reputation every time they travel together.
●	Fixed an issue that caused Recording a Product Review to fail if the Sim had previously interrupted a review by traveling to another Lot.
●	The Well Suited and G.R.A.N. talent agencies are back in business! Gigs from these agencies will now display appropriately.
●	Super Speed 3 should now work when Sims sleep in their Sleeping Pods and have a pet.
●	Actor Sims can now Check Open Auditions properly when returning from Work. Get that bread! Be a starving artist no more!
●	Sims’ Acting Gigs Career Panel will now get updated properly on performing tasks. Credit for your work? Imagine that!

Island Living
●	Fixed an issue where Odd Jobs tasks were not able to be completed.
●	Fixed an issue where Conch Shells were not able to be put in Sims’ Inventories.
●	Sims can now see their recorded findings in the Notification Wall when performing “Examine Water Thoughtfully” on the Fishing Board.
●	Released Fish will actually be released back into the water and not be stored in Sims’ Inventory.

Discover University
●	Sims will no longer be accused of cheating on their coursework or homework if they don’t actually cheat.
●	Term Presentations should not have missing interactions any longer
●	We addressed some feedback that getting A’s was too easy. Please be aware that your Sim will have to complete the coursework in order to consistently get good grades
●	Students will no longer autonomously taunt each other about University Superiority unless they're at the Game Day organization event or have one of these traits: Childish, Evil, Hot-Headed, and Bro
●	Please be aware that a Sim’s hunger, energy, and bladder motives will no longer refill on their own just before class
●	Fixed an issue in which Enhancing Utility Bots would get cancelled inappropriately
●	Roommates should no longer Bring Food home every time they return
○	Although I wouldn’t turn it down if they did
●	Sims can now Turn Off Computer Glasses when moving to other neighborhoods
●	Sims that complete the debate showdown, will once again be able to change into their other outfits
●	Term Papers will now always count toward the course’s final grades
●	Fixed an issue where the following Build Mode items were not able to be placed on the LearnWell Desk: Lex Light By Dex Pix, Q-Bik Tabletop Mood Light, and Great Gramps’ Light can now be placed properly
●	Fixed an issue where “The Secret Society Masks” were not being unlocked in Create A Sim
●	The shower wall will no longer turn on when a Sim attempts to repair it
●	Active Sims should no longer get the “Not Enough Exercise” tense buff if they have enrolled in the Soccer Fútbol after school activity, or choose to juggle a soccer fútbol ball
●	Sims must now meet all of the promotion requirements in order to be promoted in the Education Career
●	Attempting to interact with a bike rider should no longer cause your Sim to route fail when performing the interaction
●	The Make Offering to Sprites interaction should no longer be unavailable if you only have harvestables in your inventory
●	Reaching level 5 of the Law Career now correctly unlocks the lawyer suits for your Sim in Create a Sim
●	Bots enhanced to level 3 will no longer automatically enhance to level 4 upon activation
●	Interacting with a Sim riding a bike will no longer cause the Sim, your Sim, the bike, parts of the world, or any other potential object or thing to disappear
●	Inviting your professor to hangout will now actually have the professor arrive to hangout
●	Servo can now complete the StrangerVille story
●	Servo Fun and Social motive descriptions no longer incorrectly refer to Servo as a Sim
●	Bicycles can now be searched for in Build Mode by using the term “bike”
●	ExoMech suit can be worn by teen Sims, and are visible too
●	Sims already wearing a helmet, will no longer change into another helmet to ride a bike
●	Sims in the same household will now automatically know the others degree program
●	Sims will no longer receive multiple signing bonuses from degree relevant careers. Only one signing bonus is awarded in any seven day period
●	Woohoo in Shower will no longer give fame
●	“Chat About Scandalous Lawsuit” now provides fun
●	Choosing to cancel the Practice Presentation interaction will now cancel the interaction
●	Servos can no longer get sick
●	Servos can no longer purchase the Seldom Sleepy reward trait
●	Sims on probation can now be asked to study with
●	Sims should no longer route fail when attempting to take a Pregnancy test in a bathroom stall
●	Asking the Repo Person to not take your stuff will now provide you a Text Notification as to whether or not you had an impact on the Repo Person’s decision
●	Sprites no longer appear around the Sim after the buff expires after leaving the Secret Society
●	Sims will no longer see the option to remove Robo Arm when choosing to remove Computer Glasses
●	Fixed an issue in which the option to Pay Student Loans was available even though students had enough Simoleons to cover their Tuition
●	Sims can now be warned about losing scholarships if they choose to withdraw from the term
●	Some lots were unloadable in Britechester and made the game unresponsive. That should no longer be the case

Outdoor Retreat
●	Sims can now roast at a campfire without needing a seating object nearby
●	A visual issue was resolved where highlighting the Granite Falls Blossom would result in a strange texture for Simmers who had StrangerVille installed.

Spa Day
●	Fixed an issue where Sims did not have the option to “Take Bath with Soaks” and “Take Mud Bath” on Showertubs.
●	Sims can now again get massages autonomously at Spas.

Dine Out
●	NPC Sims will now eat more at Restaurants.
●	Photos taken of Experimental Foods will now display correctly when put into frames.
●	Food was sometimes not able to be ordered or delivered when the game was exited or reloaded from the Main Menu.

Vampires
●	“Influence Emotions” interaction will no longer be available to Vampires that have not yet unlocked this perk

Jungle Adventure
●	Several objects were not properly being found when using color filters. These should be filterable now

StrangerVille
●	StrangerVille music has been added to the Lin-Z Smart Speaker

Realm of Magic
●	Two ‘Inferniate’ interactions display on some rugs. As much as some hate those rugs’ patterns, only one ‘Inferniate’ is more than enough
●	Fixed an issue where Occult eyes would not properly apply to Spellcasters
●	Unplayed NPCs not living in Glimmerbrook will no longer appear in Glimmerbrook performing Magic
●	“Challenge to Magic Duel at Dueling Grounds” performed by a broom and non-broom using duelist will now take place at the dueling grounds
●	Spellcasters with the “Knowledge is Magic” Perk will now be able to complete the “Finish Reading 3 Books” aspiration goal
●	Fixed an issue where some Spellcasters would not complete the “Learn a Spell” goal, even though they would learn a Spell
●	Spellcasters will now be able to Do Laundry while having “Always Transportalate” enabled
●	Fixed an issue in which Pet Familiars would not stop foraging, never bringing back their findings.
●	Sages now can be chosen to Play With for a game of Chess
●	Random non Spellcaster Sims no longer will show up as being Sages
●	Fixed an issue in which Cauldron made food was not able to be eaten as leftovers when looking at the refrigerator
●	Sims on cursed lots will no longer always catch fire in all attempts while using the Fireplace or the Stove
●	Fixed an issue in which sounds from The Magic Realm could be heard in Del Sol Valley if you had Get Famous installed
●	Fixed an issue in which some shirts in Create A Sim would not tuck in appropriately
●	Spellcaster Sims can now clean potty messes, child messes, and kitty litter messes by casting Scruberoo
●	Spellcasters will no longer have duplicate makeup options in CAS
●	Spellcasters should no longer land in unroutable locations when using the “Always Use Brooms” spell
●	Spellcasters that cast Mischief Spells will now get awarded Mischief Skill when doing so
●	Male spellcasters will no longer have a chance of going bald after performing Rite of Dissolution
●	yfHair_GP08Braids now properly appears within the Afro-Textured texture filter
●	Mischief spells are now counted towards the Criminal Career daily task Mischief Interaction
●	Spellcasters with the Spellcraft and Sorcery aspiration will no longer reset or cause a LastException after writing songs

Perfect Patio
●	We fixed an issue where hired Maids would often change into Swimwear and use the Hot Tub instead of completing their tasks.
○	It can be so difficult to find good help these days

Romantic Garden
●	Sims in the Freelance careers, including freelance photography, will no longer be able to Wish for Promotion using the Wishing Well
○	Since they are freelance, they can promote themselves without wishing for it. They just need to update their business card.
●	Sims in Conservationist, Educator, Actor, Style Influencer, Military, Critic, Social Media, or Politician careers will now be able to Wish for a Promotion using the Wishing Well.

Backyard
●	Fixed an issue in which some shirts in Create A Sim would not tuck in appropriately into skinny jeans

Vintage Glamour
●	Addressed several issues that caused the Butler to fail to perform their assigned tasks
●	Fixed an issue that prevented Butlers to help put Toddler Sims to Bed
●	The Butler should no longer make food for themselves when they are not hungry

Laundry Day
●	Clothes moved to the clothing line to dry were not getting dry. We’ve reduced the moisture in the air and it should work now

Moschino
●	Emotional auras in photographs can now be toggled on/off
●	Fixed an issue where some photos taken were a bit blurry when placed in frames in Live Mode
●	Tripods placed on floors other than 1, 2, or 3, should no longer cause the camera to change floors when attempting to take a photo
●	Ask to Pose interaction should no longer fail if the Sim attempts to run the interaction from the Open Street
●	yfHair_SP15SlickedBackLong was displaying with a grey line.
●	“Take Photo Of” was allowed to target unmet NPC Sims. Creepy and awkward for sure. Go meet them first for goodness sake like a normal Sim
●	Freelance Photographer Sims can now see all proper tasks for gigs ‘Genius Professor Outdoor Wear Study’ and ‘Everyday Activities Fashion Shoot.’
●	Freelance Fashion Photography Gigs ‘Finding the Essence of Efficiency with Everyday Style’ and ‘Fantastic Formula for Formal Style’ now display correct information for Pay, Due Date, and/or Required Skill Level.
●	The Amp Stack now functions as a Stereo, living to its full potential. Rock on!
●	Burnt photos would not be charred anymore once placed outside Sims’ inventory.

Time for your Sims to wake up at the crack of noon as they have lectures to attend so they can take their education to the next level in Discover University. While your Sims wait on the first semester in just a few days time we have plenty of other content and changes for you to dig into.
New lots, rooms and households are waiting for you in My Library thanks to the Sims Community’s creativity and sharing nature.

What’s New?

Multi Story Columns
These columns reach up to the sky, or up to the ceiling, that’s up to you. Just go into the build catalog, place a column, grab the handle at the top, and drag it up and down to re-size. Some have a maximum size, others however... they might just be the tallest thing on your lot.

New Clothing
We have updated the Holiday Celebration Pack with some new child and toddler clothing! In CAS you’ll see a new childrens male top, childrens female top, and childrens winter boots! Toddlers have a new outfit for males, a new outfit for females, and some shoes! Or open up the Styled Looks, where SimGuruMorgan created some great new looks with the content!

Music
The Hip Hop Radio Station is now available even if you don’t have Get Famous! While the radio station is available to everyone, the Get Famous specific music will still need Get Famous to be played.

General Issues
●	Sims that dislike Fruitcake no longer react negatively to all other food. On the other hand, Sims that like Fruitcake no longer will react positively to Poor Quality foods.
●	Grab Meal or Give Food for all ages will now fulfill the hunger needs completely.
●	Spoiled visual effect now will go away on servings from coffee and tea pots.
●	Sims will now place grilled food on the table appropriately instead of their inventory.
●	Fresh drinks are now available on the drink tray (for those who own Spa Day and/or Backyard Stuff). “Grab drink” from drink tray functions and will no longer give you an incorrect message.
●	Households populated in the “Other Households” tab in Manage Worlds can no longer be composed of just a Child.
●	Idle Sims will no longer drink water excessively. Remember, Responsible hydration!
●	Skin details no longer go away when randomizing Sim features other than the "Face" or "All" categories.
●	NPC Sims that are not Gardeners will no longer remove Wild Plants from lots autonomously.
●	Rare and uncommon harvestables will now be produced at higher rates when splicing.
●	Sims will no longer leave the dining table after they’ve started having their meal when using the “Call to Meal” interaction.
●	Selected tattoos in Create A Sim will no longer automatically reapply clothing.
●	Fixed an issue in which Sims were not able to wash dishes or use the dishwasher if there were shelving units above the sink or the dishwasher.
●	Child Sims will no longer have their eyebrow color changed to Brown when they are set to Blond. Unless you decide that's what you want.
●	Fixed an issue that made Adult Sims constantly change outfits while Taking a Shower, and then giving a Bath to Toddlers.
●	Fixed an issue which made the option “Put here” not available when holding Pets and Toddlers.
●	Fixed an issue which made Paying Bills via Phone not be fulfilled if Simmers queued any other action before it would complete.
●	Moving a wall will no longer delete objects on a separate shelf when bb.moveobjects cheat is used. Did you know, you can use bb.moveobjects without disabling Trophies?
●	Fixed an issue in which Toddlers that had maxed out their skills were not receiving the Top Notch Trait when aging up.
●	Claiming a bed is now exclusive to one Sim. Now Sims can sleep in their own bed without disturbance or worry about another Sim using their bed.
●	Toddler Traits are no longer visible after aging.
●	Success Lineage Aspiration can now be completed once appropriate conditions are met.
●	Vendors will no longer use your Sims’ fireplace as an imaginary portal to mysterious places.
●	Emotional sculpture thumbnail in sims inventory and world appearance are now visually the same.
●	“Get Married to...” whim now complete when you actually get married.
●	Sims now are more diligent in putting back their books in the bookshelf and/or bookcase.
●	Focused Sims can now go back to hacking work process when they reach level 6.
●	Sims that randomly decided to cosplay and have pointy ears will now revert back to their normal elves… I mean selves!
●	Nature’s Welcome Arch gate will no longer have metal gate audio.
●	Catching fish with excellent quality will now count toward the “Make 6 Great Catches” task of the Angling Ace Aspiration.
●	Creating stairs to the second floor of a raised block will no longer need a drop wall to support it for Sims to be able to route on it.
●	Sims are now able to route into their home after using terrain manipulation tools in their home lot.
●	Sims are no longer collecting items in their inventories without your permission.
●	Sims will now autonomously interact with each other if one is sitting down and the other is standing.
●	Move lot will no longer inadvertently unhide stairs, specifically stairs above the first floor.
●	Updated Muslim inspired assets so clipping is not apparent below the Sims’ chin.
●	Updated Apron tops to look smoother.
●	Sims are now less considerate and do not congratulate their romantic partners when they find a new romantic partner.
●	Send Geo Council for collectables will no longer require you to send your computer with it.
●	Glass roof created on the ground should now be routable (as long as there is an entryway built into it).
●	Randomize Twin in Create-a-Sim will carry user-manipulated ears and nose over to the twin.
●	Fixed an issue that would cause interactions to get stuck in the queue.
●	Selling Normal quality Mystery novels will now give you money in return.
●	Sims that despise each other and have no romantic relationship will no longer greet each other with a passionate kiss.
●	Child sit-to-stand transitions for toddler bed and lounge chair exhibit less clipping.
●	Perk and trait buffs will now persist through travel.
●	Drop walls from stairs will now fill in when terrain is manipulated below the stairs.
●	Sims’ Inventory will no longer reset and jump to the top while in use.
●	Hover Tip for Electrified Artist updated to proper text.
●	Fixed an issue in which railings were clipping into the walls.
●	Railings on extended landing do not have missing posts or different looking sections.
●	Drawn on eyebrow thumbnail will no longer show incorrect swatch.
●	Music artist names in the Music Game Options are no longer cut off.
●	Collared jean jacket will clip less with various hair styles.
●	Fence posts are now updated when terrain manipulation occurs.
●	Sims are now able to do Check Toddler interaction while swimming.
●	Steps in enclosed courtyard will no longer auto delete a part of your staircase.
●	Take a Vacation day and Call in Sick are no longer available options when Sims are already on vacation.
●	Configuring a U shape staircase to another floor will cause the stair cause to lose some steps no more!

Get to Work
●	Patient Sims that are referred to the surgery table will no longer leave in the middle of surgery.
●	Sims can no longer simultaneously have two occult types. Specifically Vampire and Aliens. Although Vampire Aliens sounds like a great B-movie waiting to happen.
●	Copy interaction is now available on Cookbooks and Mixology books.
●	Book Covers do not change when you place them on retail display.

Get Together
●	Steam will no longer accumulate in rooms above indoor swimming pools, or natural pools, built with vents.
●	Club panel text field size has been increased to accommodate longer text.

City Living
●	NPC Sims that attend Festivals are no longer seen in not festival appropriate outfits.
●	Fixed an issue that Simmers with Outdoor Retreat and City Living didn’t have the “Ask to Cloudgaze” interaction available in San Myshuno apartments.
●	Fixed an issue that didn’t allow the camera to zoom in properly when looking at lots at their basement level.
●	Updating the pricing of counter and cabinets to be more consistent with the rest of the Build Mode catalog.
●	Promote Cause Daily Tasks will now be fulfilled with the Promote Policies Interaction.

Cats & Dogs
●	Fixed an issue in which all stray dogs were large dogs. Now they can be all sizes.
●	Lighthouse Woohoo spot is back in business.
●	Sims are able to complete crafting pet medicine with Marketable trait.
●	Quickly Update your Dr. Magi-Heal’s Surger-o-matic 3000 with an instant upgrade.
●	A jacket blazer now layers better with bottoms.
●	Dogs will no longer try to put the cat wand away when they can’t and stretch into a mystical form.
●	Mix breed cat function in Create a Sim has been fixed.

Seasons
●	Child and Teen Sims are now spawning to knock on doors during the holiday season with trick or treat.
●	Hot and Cold outfit categories will no longer filter tattoos upon re-entry.
●	Fixed an issue in which rewards from the Scout after school activity were not being awarded properly. The reward will now appear in the Sims’ Inventory, instead of being unlocked in Build Mode.
●	GeekCon festivals should see less rainy days than before, good news for the electronics.
●	Fixed an issue in which Sims were able “Rake Leaves” in their Home Lot while Sims were far from leaves to rake.
●	Social events put in calendar are now functional and will trigger.
●	Scouts offer a valuable service and while they’ll always be special, they won’t be quite as shiny or lit like they are at a disco.

Get Famous
●	Sims employed in any career will no longer be prompted to miss work, or end their shift early, when work hours coincide with visits from Sims that were given a residence key.
●	Have Sim Dance at the Same Time goal at the Fan Meet and Greet Event can now be completed when you have your Sims and other Sims dance at the same time.
●	Talent Showcase events will no longer sometimes occur on an invalid location.
●	Text was updated to hover tip for Action Vol 3 purchase book picker.
●	Jet visual effect will now display properly when streaming from a drone.
●	Tooltip text for Quality description of videos created by the video station is now colored purple.
●	Sims Radio too loud? You can adjust the radio volume now after listening to the music you created on the Mix Master Music Production Station.

Island Living
●	Uninvited Sims will no longer appear when attending Kava Parties on lots with the “Private Dwelling” Lot Trait.
●	Beach Venues lots can now be selected for Sims to go on dates.
●	Fixed an issue in which samples taken from Sulani to fulfill Conservation career tasks were disappearing from the Sim Inventory after analyzing said samples.
●	Fixed an issue in which the “Dried Scales” buff would not disappear after Mermaids fulfilled their hydration needs.
●	Fixed an issue with Mermaid Children that did not allow them to Take Baths INSIDE bathtubs.
●	Traditional Sarong asset will not clip with tops as much.
●	Fixed an issue that made aged up Mermaid Teen Sims have their Mermaid Tails disappear in Create a Sim and while Swimming.
●	Career Promotions for Conservationist can still occur after reaching level 10.
●	Bulldozing waterfront lots in Island Living will now not remove terrain paint.
●	Goggles no longer create an awkward shadow that do not make sense.
●	Did you know, you can store an uncracked coconut at room temperature for about four months? Me either but I had to share that with you. Anyway, now your Sims can now store coconuts away in the fridge.
●	Human Sims no longer will think they are Mermaids by swimming like them when swimming laps.
●	Promotion task is marked completed when Sims have a diving knife.
●	Sims can now release the fish back into the ocean.
●	Updated rental options to not exist in Sulani.
●	Sims with Master Chef Trait do not make spoil food anymore.
●	Sunkiss buff will now have the appropriate icon.
●	Rounded blocks will no longer have missing stilts
●	Blueprint placement for lots with floor lights will no longer place them underneath structure and float. Gravity is more realistic.
●	Stilt foundation shadows now appear properly.
●	A TV stand missing in search bar will now appear. You didn't know what you were missing out on when using search… or you did know and now it’s fixed!
●	Some furniture items that did not appear on the cursor from Build Mode will now appear.
●	Burnt visual effects no longer appear on lot terrain when there is fire on homes with stilt foundations.
●	Mermaid Sims will do their special swim idle when performing Mermaid interactions.
●	Mermaid Sims that have been turned into skeletons can now take a bath.
●	Set favorite watercraft will now set correct one to favorite.
●	Island Welcome Wagon will now continue to hold Kava bowls to give to your Household instead of placing it on the ground when it rains.

Dine Out
●	Fixed textures for a few Experimental Dishes.
●	Restaurant signs no longer have an odd bounding box shadow around it. It’ll be well rounded.

Vampires
●	Vampire Sims will no longer get scolded if they drink plasma from Sims even though they had been granted permission to do so.
●	Options from the Face category in Create A Sim are no longer missing for Vampire Sims when using the Change Sim interaction.
●	Vampires have adjusted to daylight savings now and are awake when you invite them to hang out.

Parenthood
●	Adult Sims are less likely to autonomously watch Kids Network if Toddlers/Children/Teens aren't nearby. At least that’s what they’ll be telling everyone else.

Realm of Magic
●	Spellcasters with the Bloodline trait will no longer have their rank reset if they reach the Virtuoso rank.
●	Potions can now be sold for Simoleons. KA-CHING!
●	Fixed an issue which allowed the Emotional Stability Potion to remove certain buffs from Sims unintentionally.
●	Fixed an issue where the Spellbinding Tile wall pattern was displaying duplicate swatch colors in Build Mode.
●	Cooking and Brewing in cauldron will no longer change sell price in build mode.
●	Drinking animation is performed by Sims when Sims drink potion of curse cleaning to remove curse.
●	Animation for the teleport is no longer getting cut off.
●	Orb Familiars will not pop and jump from their locations while following their Sims out of water.
●	Two necklaces were updated to improve capability with other Create A Sims assets.
●	Trouser texture will no longer appear on the top of a pair of boots.
●	Bicep bracelet is now shown properly in Create A Sim thumbnail.

Cool Kitchen Stuff
●	Removed “Get Leftovers” option for ice cream since it was never intended. I mean, who leaves ice-cream leftovers anyway?

Spooky Stuff
●	Spooky Party will now count towards the Party Animal Aspiration.

Moschino Stuff
●	Fixed an issue where the game would freeze while in Photo Mode. When we told the model freeze that pose, we didn’t expect it to go quite so far.
●	Sims that you have not met will no longer appear in the Sims selector when triggering Take photo of.
  
 

  
Could it be magic? Now, with just a few days until Realm of Magic we bring you this update with new features that are available to all Simmers. Configurable stairs, new clothing and build objects, as well as some spooky new additions.
What’s New?

Configurable Stairs
 
There’s magic in the air, and the candle summoning circles you’ve been sending us via Twitter in an effort to will new types of stairs into existence has worked! Configurable stairs have been added to the game, giving you the ability to create stairs that are L-shaped, U-shaped, and more! Excited to try them out? Simply place any set of stairs down in build mode, and you’ll notice a new widget that appears… it’s a box with two arrows attached to it. Grab onto that with your cursor and drag, and suddenly your stairs will be bent 90°! Keep dragging, and the stairs will bend 180°. Once you’ve bent your stairs, you’ll see another two widgets appear. A diagonal arrow above the newly-added landing will let you adjust the height of the landing within the staircase. A curved arrow at the base of the stairs will allow you to continue to rotate the direction of the stairs beneath the landing. For times when a single landing just isn’t enough, you can keep adding additional bends to your stairs--as long as they’re tall enough to have room for another one. I think that just about covers the basics; so get in there and try it out, experiment, and create some amazing new builds!

The Sims 4 - 5th Anniversary

Even though The Sims 4 has been on PlayStation®4 system for nearly 2 years, we couldn’t let you Simmers go without The Sims 4 - 5th Anniversary content. As SimGuruRomeo and SimGuruGraham described it “It’s already been five years since The Sims 4 released; whew--time flies when you’re simming! Futuristic Spooky Costume

It’s that time of year where we all dress up for those cobweb draped parties and too much candy. The Sims aren’t immune and have a new robot costume to greet those Trick or Treat visitors. Take me to your candy, squishy human!!!!

New Look+

In the last update we brought the new look to The Sims 4 but a couple of items still needed updating. Those are all updated now to include the updated look from start to finish.

General Issues
●	Mouse and Keyboard Simmers will have their last used camera preference saved so your preferred camera mode is active if you switch back and forth between control schemes. New saves will default to The Sims 4 camera mode.
●	Switching trait categories in CAS will no longer cause your Sim to switch outfits.
●	The camera won’t zoom out when placing objects high on walls and opening the color swatch.
●	Basements will not create irremovable flooring between levels.
●	Fixed an issue that caused weighting for names, clothing, facial features, and skin tones to skew heavily in specific directions if City Living or Island Living were installed.
●	Solved the problem where showers were playing a sound even after deleted.
●	Solved an issue where skin details vanish after randomizing traits, voice, or clothing.
●	Toddlers now learned how to drink from sippy cups again. Not sure why they were so resistant in the first place; those things are great!
●	Sims have regained the ability to gradually fill empty homes! If the option for it is enabled that is.
○	If you want Sims to fill empty homes, go to Game Options -> Gameplay -> and check the "Fill Empty Homes" option.
●	Fixed various save load issues when loading specific households.
●	Sims are now able to drown again if you do not have Island Living installed!
●	Floor trims on exterior walls will no longer be cut away when a staircase is placed adjacent to the trim on the interior side of the wall.
●	Fixed a couple of layering issues with tight pants and boots.
●	Re tuned the values for comfort, decor, fun, hygiene, comfort on several objects.
●	Fixed various typos.
 
City Living
●	Teen Sims that are Unflirty can now make out with other teens.
 
Cats and Dogs
●	When putting your cuddly friends up for adoption you will no longer be faced with inaccessible UI.
●	Now your pets will be able to fully complete obstacle courses with Stand Platforms.
 
Seasons
●	Fixed a visual issue with foundation decorations being placed next to a pool.
 
Get Famous
●	Skills/Tasks are now displayed for every gig and audition in the career panel.
●	Certain auditions will stop being spammed in the gigs panel.
●	Teen Sims can no longer run romantic socials with celebrities.
 
Island Living
●	She sells seashells, but only if they don’t stack on top of each other. That shouldn’t occur anymore but nature finds a way.
●	Fishing in Sulani now counts towards the “Fish in 3 Spots” Goal.
●	Players now have the ability to trigger volcanic eruptions with cheats: volcanic_eruption small and volcanic_eruption large!
●	Children can now drown.
●	Sims can now drown while riding an Aqua Zip!
●	Island counters have been added to your Build catalog!
 
Vampires
●	Fixed an issue where Vampires were exhibiting their old weaknesses even though they were not applied.
 
Moschino Stuff
●	When your subject matter asks for you to photograph their best side, they don’t usually mean straight on. Simmers that prefer the controller can now rotate around the subject matter as well as raise and lower the tripod with the left stick.
●	Photographs that you submit for approval now get sent back to you. Why we are sending our only physical copy in this digital age is still a mystery.
●	Fixed some photo approval issues for the Photography Career.

We have brought over new builds from The Sims 4 Community which you’ll find in My Library. The builds span different packs and come in all sizes from the smallest of homes to the grandest of mansions.

When you load up The Sims 4, don’t worry. Even though the game looks different, it is the same game you love underneath. Well, kind of. It is the same game with some cool new features and additions that you can use to expand the way you play.
What’s New?

New Look

In the last update we made some changes to the look of The Sims 4 but promised there was more to come. In this update, The Sims 4 on the PlayStation®4 system has the full refresh including a new Main Menu, with built in videos and new Sims cast and more. While the Main Menu has a new look, we kept the option for you to pick your own favorite image that you see.

CAS Stories

Once upon a time, there was a Sim making a salad when it spontaneously caught fire. Who would have thought cooking a salad could be so dangerous? Sorry, this isn’t that kind of story. CAS Stories will help you step outside of your comfort zone with your Sims. By completing a short quiz with a random selection of questions, your new Sim will be generated with personality and starting conditions based on your answers. Sims will end up starting out with a career, various skills, and different levels of starting household funds! If you prefer to create your Sims your way then you can continue to do just that.

New Cheat

You might have heard about a new cheat in Build mode which will unlock a new set of Unknown objects for use on your lots. Bring up the cheat menu and use the cheat bb.showliveeditobjects to enable the cheat. After putting in the cheat, open the Search panel in Build/Buy and press the R2 button to apply a blank search. You should find the new Unknown items at the bottom of your Build/Buy categories. To disable the cheat, type bb.showliveeditobjects false. How many new objects are there? No one knows for sure but there are potentially hundreds of new decorative objects depending on what packs you have installed. These objects are environment objects, which our artists use when creating worlds. As such they are not optimized for on lot use, so please be aware when using this cheat. The most obvious issue you may notice is that Sims will walk through these objects. Most importantly, using this cheat will not disable your ability to earn Trophies.

General Issues
●	Building takes time, skill and vision. We added a whole new level of difficulty for Simmers that opened the cheat menu by preventing the walls from being toggled. While some might say that cheaters never win, we don’t think they meant quite like this so toggling the walls should work at all times you need it to now.
●	Hark, what light through yonder window breaks? Well if you happened to move your glass doors or windows around, the window itself would break. You should no longer see the remains of a window or glass door that once was when you move the object or the room it was part of.
●	When visiting the Chez Llama Restaurant in Forgotten Hollow, Sims should no longer be rapidly blinking in and out of existence.
City Living
●	The Welcome Wagon will no longer invite themselves into your home if you decide to call the 1 Torendi Tower Penthouse lot, home.
Outdoor Retreat
●	Sims like to get away from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives just like the rest of us. Some Sims that purchased and moved into a vacation home in Granite Falls would never be able to leave. When the vacation ends, Sims can go back to their daily lives in other worlds no matter how humdrum that life might be.
●	Evil Sims will be more cunning and mischievous when left to their own devices during a visit to Granite Falls. When they have max mischief they will gladly sabotage tents autonomously.
Parenthood
●	Help with homework or don’t? The life of a teen Sim can be tough but helping with homework shouldn’t freeze your Sims anymore. Unless it is a question that really stumps your Sim.
Jungle Adventure
●	Sims that setup the Selvadoradian Craft Sale Table will now be able to use the Clear Table interaction once they are ready to pack up.
●	Unlocking a gate using a Relic will give you the unlock knowledge when you highlight the relic and will tell you which gate type it will unlock. No more trying every relic on the key chain to find the one that fits.
Laundry Day Stuff
●	Interacting with your washer/dryer won’t cause your Sim to “Go Here.”

Some Simmers asked for more Island Living builds in My Library so we’ve added a selection for you to use in any world but they look especially good in Sulani.

A cheeky gremlin managed to sneak its way into the last update, so we captured it and tidied up behind it.

  
It seems like only yesterday when we added Mouse & Keyboard support to The Sims 4 but that hasn’t stopped us from making improvements based on your feedback while preparing for Island Living. The team has also been hard at work on new features and have addressed some long standing issues so let's dig in, starting with the new stuff.
What’s New?

New Features

●	Mouse & Keyboard can now be used to bypass the “Press START” screen rather than requiring a controller to get to the Main Menu. That means you can start and finish your Simming session using the control scheme you prefer. Now, where’s the any key?
●	Some makes of keyboard are extremely fancy with lots of features, one of those features appears to have been the ability to prevent the mouse from being used. We’ve made improvements in this area.
●	I’m on a boat… Oh I’m not?!?! Seems that going into First Person view didn’t agree with all Simmers and left some feeling a little ill. Worry not, head to Options > Game Camera and Disable First Person Head Bob for that more on rails feel while you are inside your Sims’ heads.
●	When entering cheats, Sims would continue their day as if they didn’t have a care in the world. Using a controller, adding cheats could take most of a Sim day if you were unlucky. Now, when entering cheats, the game will pause letting you add all the cheats you want without missing a second of Sim life.

Randomize Traits Button

We all get creative block sometimes, other times we just look for a challenge. Whatever your approach you can now hit the Randomize Traits button in CAS to get a set of traits you might not usually pick for your Sim. Will your Sim be a Jealous, Lazy Goofball or a Genius, Slob who Hates Children? Let the dice decide.

Lounge Chair

Everyone (even you) gets a FREE LOUNGE CHAIR! That’s right, we’ve added a delightfully Portable Lounge Chair, so you can now lounge by the pool they way you’ve always wanted and you don’t even need to wake at the crack of dawn to put your towel down.

Pride Content

Created in partnership with the It Gets Better Project you can show your pride with some fantastically colorful new clothing. From the rainbow leggings to the body suit and new t-shirts your Sim can show their Pride. In addition, we’ve also included a selection of decorative Pride flags for hanging on your Sims’ walls. Finally, we’ve updated our bathroom door sets in-game so that every bathroom door also includes a gender-neutral version for builders, and includes a full suite of color swatches for mixing and matching to your heart’s content. Happy Pride Month everyone, even if we did get here a little late!

Stilt Foundations

Or as we like to call them, High Heels for your House. Or House Heels. These things don’t need to be limited to just the tropics. Stilts are a great partner in crime to terrain manipulated and flat lots, in any biosphere. You can find them in Build Mode alongside all the other regular Foundation types. Now go get your stilt on.

Freelancer Career

Freelancer is a brand-new type of career. Sims can choose to be a Freelance Artist, Programmer, or Writer, and will work through an agency that will connect them with a variety of gigs. Unlike other careers, there’s no defined work schedule to worry yourself over. Need some extra Simoleons? Smash through a few gigs in a single day and get paid! Need some time off? No problem – plenty of gigs will be waiting for you when you’re ready to get back to work. Your office is wherever you want it to be. Perhaps a quiet corner in the local library, or maybe you’d prefer a home office decked out in the new set of office furniture? You’re your own boss, so the choice is yours! Completion of gigs across the different agencies will lead to a variety of rewards, and ever-increasing pay.

Doors of many Colors
Knock knock! Who’s there? Color! Color who? 350 new color swatches spread across all of the doors. Yeah, maybe the future as a stand up comedian isn’t in my future after all.

New Lot Traits
●	Clothing Optional:  This new venue-only lot trait will inspire your Sims to -- you guessed it -- get nude. 
●	Off-The-Grid: Now you can live out your nomadic fantasy on any lot. Applying this lot trait will remove your Sim’s use of power and running water, but on the upside it keeps your bills down. Keep a lookout for existing objects with the “Works Off-The-Grid” note in the Buy Catalog.

New Clothing
Freelancers tend to want comfy, but professional outfits. We’ve got them covered with the following new pieces of clothing.

●	Men: A collared sweater, A button up shirt, A crewneck sweater, A pair of drawstring pants

Immaculate White Shelf

According to SimGuruGraham, Simmers really REALLY wanted a plain white version of “The Immaculate” shelf available in Buy Mode. Who are we to argue with what SimGuruGraham tells us? 

More Toddler Diaper Colors
We added some L’il Swimmies Splashy Diapers! You don’t necessarily have to use them for splashing in the water, but that’s where our brains were at when we made them. We made these not only in anticipation for Island Living, but we also thought you’d appreciate more swimming options for your toddlers to use in the Seasons Kiddie Pool.
 
Back Float
A new Back Float interaction is available for Sims swimming in the pool. Select the water. Try it out. Take a load off.

Fishing Additions
Brace yourself, we’re about to cast you into a deep dive…
●	We added several new interactions to allow players to fish in different ways and interact with other Sims around fishing activities.
●	Sims can perform a few new Fishing-based socials to gain useful info (via UI TNS/Notebook) and push NPCs to Fish.
●	Fishing is now joinable. 
●	Improved fishing interaction tuning and autonomy to make the interaction more efficient and fun.
●	Upper skill levels now provide more meaningful rewards, with new Interactions added to Fishing skill levels
●	New high skill cast interaction “Angle for Big Catch” increases chance of getting rarer fish.
●	New high-skill VFX visuals on Rare fishing spots.
●	Ability to now “Mentor Sims in Fishing.”
●	Fishing UI has improved information, including Notebook info with Bait information.
●	Tuning for fish that can be caught is unique per world & more fishing spots added to some of our previously shipped worlds.
●	New bait preference system applied to most existing fish that modify catch chances.

Ceiling Fan Updates
Ceiling Fans will now cool a room if you have Seasons and the fan is on. Oh yeah, speaking of which, we also added the ability to turn them On and Off. And while we were at it, we figured we’d make them dry off damp Sims too.

Ceiling Objects Build Sort
We also added a new Ceiling Objects Build sort category to make things like Fans easier to find.

Swimming Things
There is now a chance for interesting things to happen to your Sims while swimming, like getting a cramp or losing their suit (eek!). Swimming also now gives your Sims a boost in Fitness skill gain. 

Part-Time Jobs Update
And last but not least (you still with me?) all existing Part-Time Jobs are no longer just for Teens. That’s right, now elders could work as Fast Food Employees. Young Adults could be Babysitters if they want. Why not? The Part-Time world is your oyster. Oh oh oh -- and one last thing on that note: You can now have two Part-Time Jobs at once and pick between shifts. Wowee.

General Issues
●	The green pulsing of the snap cursor would previously appear every 20-30 seconds for some players even if you were using a Mouse & Keyboard. That pulse is under control now, unless you are using snap cursor in which case you should expect to see it.
●	Rooms can now be resized with the Mouse & Keyboard control scheme.
●	Talking of Mouse & Keyboard, if you use them you can live drag objects now.
●	Simmers using a Mouse & Keyboard can now make use of edge scrolling. We had the option before but it didn’t work as you might have thought. 
●	The Virtual Cursor may be virtual but it doesn’t mean it was meant to disappear after you came out of build mode.
●	Sims will travel to the correct venue when invited out to an event by a NPC Sim.
●	Fixed an issue where the UI would occasionally indicate that a Sim was at work, when they were actually at home, which would block access to the Sim’s inventory.
●	Sims will no longer receive random phone calls from other Sims between the hours of 8pm and 10am, allowing them to enjoy a full – and speedy – night’s sleep.
●	Fixed an issue where multiple music tracks could end up looping and playing simultaneously.
●	Expecting parents will once again be able to “Take Family Leave” via their phone to take time off from work.
●	Fixed an issue where a Sim who had cheated with another Sim romantically, were then unable to successfully propose to that Sim and get married.
●	Fixed an issue where Sims in the eSport Gamer branch of the Tech Guru career were not earning money when programming video games.
●	The Pick Up Serving Together interaction will no longer cause one of the Sims involved to fail to route to the food.
●	Fixed an issue where interactions on the Digitalistic Sketchpad object would disappear if a Sim’s actions were canceled while they were picking up the Digitalistic Sketchpad.
●	Updated the Digitalistic Sketchpad object so that creating paintings on it will satisfy Aspiration goals and work tasks that involve painting.
●	Fixed an issue with the Lin-Z Smart Speaker, where the interaction to hire a Gardener would remain unselectable, even when the home had a garden that needed tending.
●	Sims will now look at the Lin-Z Smart Speaker when speaking to it.
●	The “Pre-Owned Painter’s Easel”, that’s unlocked via the Painter career, will now provide an Inspirational emotional aura, instead of a Focused emotional aura.
●	Fixed an issue where staircases were not rendering properly while held by a mouse cursor.
●	Adjusted icons of Lunar New Year recipes to better display what food you’re looking at within an inventory.
●	The children’s Yin & Yang Necklace will no longer clip into their neck when wearing a shirt that’s tucked in.
●	The “CleanRoom” wall pattern, which was previously missing a name for its 5th color variant, has now had that specific color variant named “Like Sand”.
●	A new content alert icon has been added to individual careers within the Select a Career panel, to help players find new careers that have been added to their game.
●	“Shift clicking” with the controller by pressing the X and Circle buttons at the same time on the Age Up menu will no longer cause menus to overlap.

Get To Work
●	Scientists will once again wear an appropriate outfit when going to work even if StrangerVille is not installed.
●	The “Chemical Analyzer” object can now be purchased from Build Mode without having to use a cheat.
●	Made updates to the list of valid objects that can be selected as the outcome of the SimRay’s “Transform Object” interaction.

City Living
●	Fixed an issue where objects from multiple festivals were appearing on top of each other in the neighborhood simultaneously.
●	Apartment landlords will now leave the apartment immediately after addressing a tenant’s complaint.
●	Added the ability for Sims with the Vegetarian trait to hire a Vegetarian Caterer by clicking on Stoves or Refrigerators.
●	Vegetarian Sims will no longer enjoy eating Mud Carp.

Cats & Dogs
●	Fixed an issue where hungry pets would not eat from food bowls autonomously.
●	The pet toy box will no longer have its position rotated in a random direction when a Sim returns home from an active career.
●	Fixed an issue where the “Litter-Matic Scoop-Free” litterbox wasn’t looking clean after cat poop had been removed.
●	Fixed an issue with the Pet Adoption Agency, where they would occasionally show up at a Sim’s home without any pets to adopt, and would simply stand at the home’s front door and not do anything.
●	The Hide/Show filter now does as you’d expect while using the Simstagram pet interaction.
●	Fishing in Brindleton Bay shouldn’t have your Sim facing the wrong direction. No more fishing the land and wondering why the fish aren’t biting.

Seasons
●	Updated the Gardening career so that Sims will earn more than 10 Simoleons per completed work shift.
●	Fixed an issue where on days where no holiday was set to occur, a Sim’s work schedule would update to falsely indicate that the day was a Holiday just prior to going to work, causing the Sim to stay home for the day.
●	Fixed an issue where NPC Sims were not autonomously using the skating rinks that appear in certain neighborhoods.
●	Toddlers will no longer attempt to queue up behavior to “Run Inside” during bad weather conditions if they’re already inside.
●	Fixed an issue where Sims voices could not be heard when Singing Together around a Holiday Tree if City Living was not installed.
●	You’ll now be able to cancel the Compel to Drink interaction after choosing to feed on a Scarecrow.

Get Famous
●	The Acting career task to “Get Into Hair and Makeup” can be successfully completed once again.
●	Fixed an issue where celebrity Sims who had been set to use their normal walkstyle were switching back to using the celebrity walkstyle after traveling to certain types of venues.
●	Three star celebrity Sims will no longer use the celebrity walkstyle.

Outdoor Retreat
●	Your Sims can now pester… er… visit, any campers of their choosing in Granite Falls.
●	Fixed an error where Sims would get stuck in the Forest Hideaway lot in Granite Falls.

Dine Out
●	Simmers who have City Living installed can now put the Siopao and Ensaymada dishes on their restaurant’s menu.

Vampires
●	Bat!
●	Grand Master Vampires know all, or so they thought. Now they can continue to earn points. Does that make them a Grand Grand Master?
●	Vampire NPCs shouldn’t get appear at a venue and prevent you from saving.
●	Vampire NPCs shouldn’t have their Vampire Energy drained after a load which allows them to continue with their expected autonomous behavior.
●	Sim Form!

StrangerVille
●	The following environment objects, which were created for StrangerVille, have been added to the Build Mode debug catalog to allow placement on lots. Players must enter the bb.showhiddenobjects cheat before they can be seen in the catalog. Using the cheat will give you access to: 10 different cacti, 3 different Joshua trees, 3 different RVs, 2 clusters of rocks, 2 junked cars, A group of desert flowers, A military truck, A tire, A parking stop.
●	Added proper images to the Officer and Covert Operator branches of the Military career.
●	Removed the “Question about Spores in Lab” interaction for Sims who have already acquired the Modified Hazmat Suit.
●	Removed the “Heart of the Pack” styled look from Create a Sim, as it was authored using clothing that’s only available to Sims that have joined the Military career.
●	Updated the pack information panel on the main menu to not display world objects under the Build Mode Items.

Holiday Celebration Pack
●	The Crown Roast platter will now show a partially eaten state when half of its servings have been taken.

As usual, we have new creations which were created and shared by members of the Sims Community. You can find them in My Library.
There we are, a lot of changes to take us further into 2019. Now I’m off to get my Sims some sun, sea and fun in The Sims 4 Island Living.

Finally, we get to answer the often asked question, When is mouse & keyboard support coming? The answer… right now!

What’s New?
●	Mouse & Keyboard support is available to all players of The Sims 4. Simply connect your mouse & keyboard of choice and away you go. To adjust the mouse sensitivity or switch to left handed play head to the following location to make the change: Settings > Devices> Mouse
●	Lunar New Year came a little late but now you can extend the celebrations with New Recipes, New Objects, New Clothing & Accessories.

General Issues
●	Sims will no longer be able to lie about employing each other in order to avoid marriage.
●	Fixed an issue where the Audio for the tutorial references skill levels for career progression.
●	Fixed an issue where terrain manipulation might crash the game when players were manipulating to close to the edge…
●	Fixed an issue where clicking various spots with terrain tools would cause an error.
●	The scroll bar in text messages will no longer reset the text field back to the top.
●	Fixed an error that would happen when adding an extended roof to the top of an object.
●	Corrected texture issues for the solid blue pants.
●	Corrected texture issues for rolled jean pants.
●	Corrected shadows that were being added to clothes from a few necklaces.
●	Fixed and error when players would switch between children that were created through genetics.
●	Fixed a few instances where terrain paint would not correct clear when using the bulldoze option in Build.
●	Fixed an error when trying to place a Nightclub on a lot that is smaller than the lot that is provided.
●	The Millie Bobby Brown Sim didn’t know what to wear to attend parties, so we helped her pick out a new outfit.
●	Fixed an error when trying to exit the pool in First Person Camera.
●	Thanks to all the feedback, we have added more ways to customize controls while in 1st Person Mode which you can find under Game Options > Game Camera.
●	1st Person Mode should no longer terrify you with Sims that have missing heads.
●	Playing basketball on the Skye Fitness lot while in 1st Person Mode won’t require you to restart The Sims 4, so no more excuses for missing that 3 pointer.
●	Adjusting light intensity on items near the top of the lot will not cause the panel to display off screen.

Get Together
●	Listening to music on the Lin-Z Smart Speaker will now count towards the Listen to Music club rule.

Seasons
●	Leaf Piles should no longer become stuck in neighborhoods; they should automatically get cleaned up at the start of each winter season.
●	Fixed a clipping issue that occurred when wearing the toddler’s rain boots with certain pairs of pants.
●	Fixed two toddler hats which were causing unintended shadows to appear on the toddler’s eyes.

Get Famous
●	Fixed a text issue in the 24 hour live stream buff. Please excuse any technical difficulties the stream will be back up shortly.
●	Your Sims acting agent will no longer give you false pay information when completing a gig. Those agents are always trying to skim a little off the top.
●	Fixed a texture issue with the SciFi Helmet and Straight Skirt.
●	Corrected placeholder text on the Celebrity Home lot Moodlet.
●	Fixed an issue that prevented Sims from staying longer on a gig to practice their acting skills.
●	Corrected text issue in the Charity Stream Moodlet.
●	Fixed floating Sims while wearing one of the high skirts.
●	Corrected Text issue in the Tiresome Energies buff from the Crystal Healing Helmet

Hello Simmers!

Happy New Year! What do you mean that was over a month ago? How is it February already? Anyway, we are on track to keep our New Year's resolutions on track with this update that kicks off 2019 with new features for PlayStation®4 system Simmers along with even more content coming, like Get Famous.

What’s New?
●	Ever wanted to create your own secret subterranean base or mountain top lair? No? Just us? Well, whatever you chose to do you can do it with the new terrain manipulation tools. To start having greater control of your builds simply: Select Build > Terrain Tools then select the shovel icon and get landscaping.
●	Sometimes I sit back and think what it must be like being a Sim living in a Sims’ world. Then we added first person view into The Sims 4 and now I can see everything my humanoid Sims see, from their perspective. Simply select you preferred Sim and press and hold R3 for a second and you’ll see the world through your Sims’ eyes. Press and hold again to return to the normal view of the world.
●	Your Sim can start their career as a Style Influencer. Starting out as an observer and reporter of currents trends, you’ll work your way up to defining what all the coolest Sims are wearing. 
●	Millie Bobby Brown is visiting The Sims 4 and is available in My Library to add to your Worlds.
●	Baby Ariel hoodie, sweatshirt and crop top clothing options are ready to attire your Sims in CAS.
●	We have a whole new tutorial system which should help new Simmers , and perhaps even veteran Simmers, get to grips with the game, the controls and features of The Sims 4 that you might not have known about.
●	There is a whole lot of celebration going on in the Holiday Celebration Pack with new objects, decorations, clothing and a Yeti, or if you opt for it in a different color scheme, a Bigfoot. You can quickly find all the new Holiday Pack items by using the filter in the sort options.
●	If you don’t feel like celebrating just yet, there are new hair styles, clothing items and even new recipes for your Sims to cook.
●	When someone asks you what you do for a living, do you tell them the truth or do you come up with something more exotic like “Social Media Influencer”? If you can’t bring yourself to explain, fear not as you can now name your own career. Simply use your Sim’s phone to Register with the Ministry of Labor, and add the job title and description to whatever suits your lifestyle.
●	Lin-Z, The Sims’ very own Smart Speaker. Listen to music, play trivia, order a pizza and control your lights with this new gadget to name a few of the Features of the Future!.
●	There is a new “Show Whims” option that you can find in the Game Options menu under Gameplay. Show or hide your Sims’ whims at your whim.
●	The Simology Panel has had an overhaul. Now you can expand and collapse sections of the panel to show the information that is the most important to you while hiding everything else until you need it.
●	The Relationship Panel has a new filter so not only can you can see who are your real friends and family but you can filter your relationships to show who are your Coworkers.
●	MORE community created creations, including some from our very own SimGurus, have been added into My Library for you to enjoy. As SimGuruJill’s CletusBobs would say, Wooooo Dawggy!!!

General Issues
●	When you take the hammer to your Lot you probably don’t always want to remove individual objects one at a time. Select and drag will now allow you to remove larger areas of objects in one go. Of course, you can still remove one at a time, if you prefer.
●	Collecting things is always fun and did you know, The Sims 4 has lots of Collections to complete? For example, you can not only collect all ten Sugar Skulls, you can show them off with pride in their own display case.
●	Gardeners were very particular about when they would come and tend your garden, usually when your plants were almost dead. Now, you can hire a gardener if you have plants on your lot.
●	Randomly generated neighborhood Sims have expanded their tastes in clothing and won’t limit their choices to just City Living and Vampires. 
●	Some Sims just aren’t fans of the sunshine and would rather live underground, if they could. Well two levels doesn’t leave a lot of room to get away from the world, how about FOUR levels deep? You got it.
●	Children who need help from another Sim to spray a monster under their bed could previously only select from Adult aged Sims. They can now select from Sims of other ages as well.
●	Foundations on buildings were previously lit upside down. Now they’re lit right-side up!
●	We found that bloom effects on the PlayStation 4 weren’t working as intended, now they do... Blooming lovely!

Get to Work
●	Retail counters that become dirty can now be cleaned once again.
●	Doctors will no longer be assigned a nurse’s outfit as their work clothes when reaching level 7 of their career.
●	As a detective, attempting to fingerprint a criminal that’s inside a jail cell will no longer cause the detective to idle in place.
●	Male Sims wearing steel toed boots paired with a skirt (I don’t understand the world of fashion) would previously have their legs disappear.
●	Scolding a Sim for inappropriate behavior while on an owned retail lot will no longer cause your own Sim to become uninvited and unable to access the building’s interior on their retail lot.
●	The “Lice Cold Retail Freezer”, and the “Cat Loves Food Inc. Professional Grade Warming Rack” will once again update their appearance when food is placed inside them.

Get Together
●	Baristas will now leave the Cafe lot once their work shift is over.

City Living
●	Haggling over prices with vendors at stalls will now result in the correct price being displayed that the household will actually be charged.
●	Holiday decorations (requires The Sims 4 Seasons) that can’t be removed will no longer appear on apartment balconies.
●	Tricksy little gnomes will no longer spawn outside your apartment unit during the Holiday Gnomes tradition (requires The Sims 4 Seasons).
●	Made improvements to simulation lag in certain San Myshuno neighborhoods.
●	Plants at festivals will grow harvestables that are ripe for picking once again.

Cats & Dogs
●	Cats do as they please, they shouldn’t ever get stuck on the top of surfaces if you lecture them about jumping on surfaces. Doesn’t mean they won’t jump on surfaces when you aren’t looking though.
●	You want a particular color of whiskers on your cat? So be it, your cats will retain the whiskers color you assign to them in Create-a-Sim.
●	Elbows should only bend in certain, expected, ways regardless of what T-Shirt you are wearing. 

Seasons
●	Sims will no longer have difficulty decorating the Ever Delightful Evergreen Holiday Tree when it’s placed adjacent to certain wall decorations.
●	Sims may now WooHoo in leaf piles that build up outside of a lot.
●	When raining, NPCs will now correctly put their umbrellas away when going indoors on venues. 
●	Father Winter will no longer choose to move into a home in your town.
●	Each color of the “Umbri Umbrella Rack” now costs the same amount of simoleons to purchase.
●	Gnomes will no longer break unbreakable objects.

Outdoor Retreat
●	When using Manage Worlds to edit a lot in a destination world, the Build Mode catalog will no longer show debug items without using a cheat.

Dine Out
●	Repairmen that are called to restaurants will now properly fix any broken objects on the lot.
●	The Jazz radio station is now available on all stereos.

Vampires
●	Vampires will no longer attempt to “break in” to venues, which was previously preventing players from traveling or saving their game during the break in.
●	Vampires who started burning in the sunlight while traveling away from home will no longer continue to burn when returning home and retreating inside.
●	Adjusting a Vampire’s Dark Form can no longer occasionally cause issues with the Sim’s other outfits.
●	Vampires will no longer automatically help themselves to a plate of food after cooking a Family or Party sized meal.

Parenthood
●	German and Polish Simmers, we have good news. You can now use the Volunteer option in your Sims’ phone and give Sim time to the cause that appeals to you the most.
●	The low hanging “Mason Multi-Jar Lighting” will no longer cause Sims to route fail when placed in rooms using medium height walls.

Jungle Adventure
●	Sims will no longer receive invites to the bar in Selvadorada, which would previously leave them stranded in the jungle.
●	Only one protective item will now be consumed at a time when it’s used to save a Sim from various animal attacks while exploring the jungle of Selvadorada.
●	The Latin Music radio station is now available to select on cheaper stereos.
●	The Cantina venue in Selvadorada will continue playing festive Latin music, even if your Sim chooses to not pay their household bills on time.
●	Sims will no longer route fail when attempting to unpack their sack lunch while exploring the hidden areas of Selvadorada.
●	The explorer shirt will no longer cause oddly colored patches of skin to appear on the back of Sims’ necks.
●	Tooltips on relics should now correctly appear after a Sim has learned about the relic’s curse or blessing.
●	The value of a relic that has a crystal inserted into it will now display properly in the relic’s tooltip to include the value of the crystal.
●	We tightened up the graphics on the Selvadorada map icon.

Kids Room Stuff
●	Songs on the Tween Pop radio station are now labeled with the correct artist and song title.

I expect you probably want to go and try out those new features so it’s time to close this out and let you dig in.

Hello Simmers!

‘Tis the Seasons to be jolly, almost! With this update we looked at some of the more requested features from Simmers, stability improvements and prepare for one of the most requested packs. Let’s jump in to what’s new.

What’s New?
●	The Main Menu is important, you can start a new game, resume an existing game, see what packs you have and even check the control scheme. What else could you possibly do before jumping into a World? How about switching which pack background you see? While on the Main Menu simply press Left or Right on the Right Stick to cycle through the backgrounds from The Sims 4 game and the packs you have installed. Best thing, your preferred background will be there the next time you return to the Main Menu.
●	To Save or not to Save? That is the question! For some Simmers, 5 saves were not enough so we have bumped that up to a 10 save capacity plus your Autosave.
●	Simmers are creative by nature, so it came as little surprise that you needed more space to save your creations into My Library. There is now significantly more room to save additional Lots, Rooms and Households without compromising on what to keep.

General Issues
●	The grass is always greener, unless you spotted that the Sim gardeners hadn’t watered the lawn in a while and things were now browner. After negotiations, we got the lawn keepers back on the case, and the lawns are back to their vibrant green origins.
●	Some of the tutorials contained images that were inexplicably different sizes; we did a pass and now they are perfectly aligned.
●	Autosaves should always be represented by a portrait of your Household, but there were some opportunities for it to be blank. We have refocused our cameras and readied the photographer to generate accurate Household images for your save games.
●	Glass Roofs weren’t quite as glass as we would have liked with sunlight not reacting as we would have hoped.  With a bit of polish, the glass lets the light shine through just like you would expect.
●	Oakenstead and Cypress Terrace in Willow Creek are some of the largest lots. They aren’t so big that daylight should act differently compared to the rest of Willow Creek.
●	Building takes skill and a creative eye. What it doesn’t need is a camera that appears to have a mind of its own. Now the build camera will stay on the floor you are working on, it is up to you when you want to move up and down floors.
●	The Camera Speed setting seemed to have its own speed in mind and it wasn’t necessarily the one you wanted.
●	We have dealt with a number of nasty issues that led to some stability issues.
●	Sometimes you zoom in on your Sims to check out what they are up to, but sometimes you couldn’t zoom back out. Now you can!
●	Live dragging objects makes moving things around a lot easier. Being able to Live Drag objects into a Sims’ inventory takes that a step further.
●	We addressed an issue which saw performance levels drop in some Lots and only recover if you travelled to a different Lot.
●	"Change Personality Traits..." panel for the Re-Traiting Potion can be backed out of, if you change your mind about changing your personality traits that is.
●	Glass Roofs should let the light shine through and they did, just sometimes it wasn’t accurate based on the Glass Roof design used, until now.
●	When creating your Sim, the profile icon had a distracting side effect as it updated to your changes. The profile icon will instead update when you have finished making adjustments and de-selected the active slider.
●	The Sims is a colorful world and if you tilted the camera just so, you got even more color thanks to the multi-colored walkways that would appear. We toned down the color scheme so now the walkways shouldn’t look like a rainbow fell onto the ground anymore.
●	If you bought a Bundle of The Sims 4 packs and need quicker access to download them then the icons on the Main Menu will now take you to the download section of the PlayStation™Store.
●	More community creations have been added into My Library.

Get to Work
●	A good detective follows the clues and solves the mysteries. Previously it was difficult and even impossible to investigate when you arrived on the scene. We polished the magnifying glass and isolated the witnesses so now you can investigate and solve your way to being the best detective in town.
●	Part of solving a crime it to talk with witnesses, while we can’t guarantee the answers you get will help you solve the case, the “Chat with Civilians” lets you talk with the Sims without having to repeat yourself a second time.

Get Together
●	While in Club Manager and accessing the Club Perks, the controls sometimes jumped around like a Sim on the dance floor making it difficult to select your options. Things are a lower tempo now, except the music beats.

Cats & Dogs
●	Everyone loves pictures of their Cats & Dogs but that doesn’t mean the camera should magically gain another frame. Now you get 5 photographs per photography session and no more.

Vampires
●	Vampires may not be able to see their own reflections but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be allowed to remove facial features you added and changed your mind about. Eye Sockets/Brows/Mouths/Eye details can all be removed by selecting them again in CAS.

Hello Simmers!

Wow, what a summer we have had in The Sims 4 with the release of two fan favorite packs, Cats & Dogs and Laundry Day and great feedback for the Community creations in My Library. We are keeping that sunshine-boosted momentum going with this new update.
Talking of sunshine, we cast an eye to the Caribbean and its vibrant, colorful clothing and styles. With Carnival taking place throughout the region, we took inspiration from the traditional patterns to craft some hip, modern clothing for your Sims to wear to a party, or perhaps the last picnic of the summer.
This new update adds several often requested and cool new features, some of which are exclusive to system, so let’s jump in to what’s new.

What’s New?
●	Hark, what light through yonder window breaks! Or rather a sky light rather than a window. That’s right, Simmers can now add glass roofs to their builds.
●	Horticultural Sims can get their thumbs extra green thanks to the overhauled Gardening Skill. Rather than rewrite it, here is the perfect explanation from SimGuruGrant.
●	While SAVE GAME 1 is an inspired name for your first save, it doesn’t really portray what the save is. That is why you can now give your Save Game files their own name. When saving for the first time, simply hit Save and put in the name you want, and you are all set.
●	Don’t worry - if you already have SAVE GAME 1 or even made a typo when saving your new named saves, you can also RENAME your save files. To do this, open the Save Game or Load Game Menu and hit square button.
●	Did you have bigger problems than just the name of your Save? Want to free up a Save Slot? With a new feature we like to call “DELETE” you can delete a Save Game rather than overwrite it. Simply highlight your Save Game in the Load or Save menu and press triangle button.
●	My Library is a place of wonder. One of the things we often wondered is “Why do you need to open a Household, Lot, Room before you can delete it?” We didn’t have a good answer for that so now you can just highlight the creation and press triangle button to delete the item without having to open it first.
●	Thanks to your feedback and ongoing suggestions, we added more Community Creations. Thanks to all the Simmers for the suggestions and extra special thanks to the creators.
●	If you used a Household from My Library in CAS then proceeded into the World without making any changes, you’d find that My Library would have a whole load of clones. Now, if your Sim doesn’t change from the one you selected from My Library, we don’t waste your space by creating duplicates.
●	There are new clothing categories in CAS for Cold Weather and Hot Weather outfits. The extra options provide more wardrobe and storytelling options.
●	There is a whole new Swimwear category for toddlers.
●	What else can we say about CAS? I guess we could say that there are new lipsticks, eyeshadows, eyeliners. Everything you need for that new look.
●	Caribbean content that includes three new hairs, two of which have beautiful curls & textures! There are also numerous new clothing assets, some makeup, and even a little furniture. We should mention that it includes a ceiling fan and sliding door…
●	If you go to the Rewards Store and look in the Aspirations panel, you’ll see you can spend satisfaction points to re-roll your traits with the re-training potion.
●	PlayStation®4 Pro console Simmers should notice higher Sim texture quality levels while in Live mode thanks to the additional power.

General Issues
●	Wallpapering a large room shouldn’t be any more challenging than it already is. I mean, who has time to line up the patterns just right? We got rid of that annoying performance drop when you got all decorative. 
●	Things can and do go wrong in The Sims, so much so that we even have a Game Over screen. When you reach that screen, you might have been unlucky enough to realize that your latest Save Game recorded the fact that all your Sims were gone. Now, you get a choice of where you want to save your game, if you even want to.
●	A wise person once said… I need trepanation like a hole in the World. Well, OK they didn’t say that but if they played The Sims 4 and had used Undo on a room placement while placing a tile floor then they might have.
●	Using Manage Households to add families should be straight forward rather than being as smooth as a holiday meal with your extended family. 
●	While you might not own a house, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to admire a beautifully built home with all its textures.
●	Starting a new life in a new lot with a new household is sure to bring neighbors over with pie and intrigue. That Welcome Wagon shouldn’t go hiding your controls though, just keep an eye on that one neighbor eyeing up your silverware.
●	Placing floors while using Place Room Mode shouldn’t cause performance issues anymore, floor fitters have gotten more efficient.
●	In Build Mode you’d expect the Search option to find what you needed and it kind of did, if you only searched for one word.  It wasn’t so good if you added a multiple word search like “Unicorn Dreamshower,” Now everyone can search for and add a “Unicorn Dreamshower” in their home? Hurrah!
●	While you are busy searching, you might also notice that we correctly show the Build menus where previously there was a big gap.
●	You know what is better than watching TV? Watching TV with a friend, unless they like to talk through every show.
●	We have a large amount of choice in CAS so it was a shame that you couldn’t see some color swatches on clothing items as the sheer number of options couldn’t fit on screen. A bit of a wardrobe re-organization and all clothing options are available to you.
●	Ever notice that when the Welcome Wagon visits, the visiting Sim hides their fruit cake to keep for themselves? Well now they’ll actually share it with you. Whether you take a piece is up to you though.

Get to Work
●	When you start a new Career, you generally want to read the whole job description which is why we add the ability to scroll on the careers panel. Now you can’t claim you didn’t know what you were getting into when accepting a job.
●	Talking of careers, some employers can be overly aggressive with their hiring techniques and would overlap categories. We asked them kindly to be nice and organize the careers tabs so everyone could get some screen time.
●	Restocking supplies is no longer free, Sims will actually pay for what they order. It does mean that the cheaper restocking perk gets you some nice discounts.
●	Hospitals can get busy, it doesn’t mean that doctors trying to put more than one Sim in a bed at a time is an acceptable solution. New hospital rule: One patient, one bed!
●	Aliens and Vampires don’t feel inclined to change the colors of their beards and eyebrows when going to work anymore. 
●	Case Closed! The Police Chief didn’t do it and can’t be a suspect of a crime anymore.
●	The “Ask About Suspect” interaction is now available during an APB event in the detective career.

City Living
●	Sims that are resurrected after dying from eating poisonous Pufferfish Nigiri will no longer die after eating anything else. We carefully washed the dishes to clean off the poison properly this time.
●	Every restaurant wants a good review from food critics and it helps if they don’t have conflicting experiences while coming up with their reviews. We all agreed on a rating system they’ll all stick to from now on.

Cats & Dogs
●	We don’t usually condone painting your cats and dogs, but it doesn’t mean you should be limited when doing it in Create a Pet. The larger paint strokes used to cause problems for a number of Simmers, until now.
●	Cats that have been spayed won’t get pregnant anymore if they have the Free Spirit trait and leave the house for a secret rendezvous with the tom cat next door.
●	You would have thought that cats held a static charge with the way that toys stuck to them when they finished playing. Turns out that isn’t the case so toys will stay on the floor when not being played with.
●	Adopt, don’t buy. Eligible Sims can do just that with their cat or dog of choice.
●	We love to look at photos of cats and dogs as much as the next person but sometimes you have to eat. Being able to back out of Simstagram Pet lets your Sim go and do the things Sims do.
●	Veterinary Clinic staff will focus on treating your furry friends even if a TV or computer is on the lot. We had to set the employees’ screen time rules.

Dine Out
●	New recipes from Cats & Dogs will be available and work as expected in restaurants.

Perfect Patio Stuff
●	*Big fish, little fish, cardboard box* All radios can now tune in to the Electronica station.

Romantic Garden Stuff
●	If you close your eyes really tight and wish hard enough at the Wishing Well a summoned child will actually be added to the household.
●	The Wishing Well now gives you a soulmate which matches the gender of your Sim’s romantic preference.

Backyard Stuff
●	Why do birds suddenly appear, everytime a bird feeder is near? Birds will come back to your garden when a bird feeder is placed.

Vintage Glamour Stuff
●	Butlers need rest, plus no one gets to sleep if they do chores while you try to sleep. Sending the Butler to go and sleep while everyone else is asleep will allow the time to fly by.
●	After a long day you just want to clean off the makeup. A new interaction on the vanity table will allow your Sim take off the Vanity Makeup.

Hello Simmers!

What a summer! As you may have heard, we have been hard at work preparing for the arrival of our fluffy companions in Cats & Dogs. We haven’t stopped there though, we have added Households, Lots and Rooms created by members of The Sims 4 Community into My Library and continued to make a number of performance improvements. Of course, we have been gathering and addressing your feedback and reports too.

Rather than giving you a high-level version of what you can expect how about I just tell you. 

What’s New?
•	Performance improvements mean that you should be able to get into your Worlds quicker, loading times will be shorter and things will be smoother. 
•	The Auto Save feature had been a little too temperamental for our liking so we have reviewed the feature and made improvements to the way it works so it is more reliable.
•	My Library expanded with creations from The Sims 4 Community. The new additions bring Households, Lots and Rooms.
•	We have also added the Piece of Cake Bakery which you may remember from the Get to Work announcement trailer.
•	We often get requests for features and one of the biggest requests has been to have the option to scale your roofs. We heard you and we added the feature into Build Mode.

General Issues
•	Manage Households was a little lacking in the managing part of the name by preventing you from deleting households. You can delete households you don’t need or want any more and truly manage households as you would expect.
•	If you max out your My Library storage you’ll be informed when you try to save more creations rather than finding out they silently disappeared.
•	Cursor speed and acceleration settings no longer reset after restarting the game.
•	While using the virtual cursor control scheme, the acceleration could feel like you were chasing an excited puppy around your lot. We got things under control and switching directions as you navigate the Lot shouldn’t feel so skittish. Remember, you can adjust speed and acceleration in the Game Options to get the feel you prefer.
•	The camera shouldn’t lose function when toggling bb.moveobjects in Build Mode
•	Trying to use the Virtual Cursor to live-drag from your inventory shouldn’t feel like a never-ending chore. Now it is as simple as select and drag, just like it should be.
•	Don’t you just hate it when you finish loading only to be told that there is “Game Loading In Progress” when it looks like it has finished? Us too! When a lot has loaded, it is loaded and ready to go, just like it should be.
•	Placing a Styled Room from My Library shouldn’t stop your controls from working as expected.
•	Sometimes you don’t have room in your lot to place a staircase before rotating it, now you can rotate stairs into the orientation you want without having to place them first.
•	Stairs aren’t the only thing you can rotate without placing them either, you can now rotate whole empty rooms and even walls before deciding where you want them.
•	Simmers who use the Virtual Cursor control scheme rejoice as the Pin/Unpin Whim option is now open to you.
•	Virtual Cursor controls have been tweaked, adjusted and tweaked again so now you don’t continue to accelerate and zip around the screen uncontrollably. Switching directions you take the Virtual Cursor in will drop the acceleration to ¼ of what it was so you have more control of where you go.
•	Changing your mind and re-doing something is part of getting your perfect Sim in CAS. If you do change your mind, we won’t put you into an invisible UI anymore, I promise.
•	Cell phones are a lifeline for a lot of people and Sims aren’t any different. We spent a lot of time getting them set up with more reliable service so the cell phone works when it is needed and doesn’t stay on screen when it isn’t.
•	Occasionally, the camera momentum made it difficult to have precise navigation. We’ve made a few passes at improving the camera movement to make is easier to navigate the lot.
•	Cancelling Save and Play while in CAS isn’t possible anymore. If you did this previously, you might want to check My Library as you might have multiple versions of your Households that you might want to tidy up.
•	Family is key and if you have babies you’ll know how precious they can be. That is why switching Sims now acts like it should if you have any in your household.
•	Pressing X should work when you need it most… When you press the X button.
•	Improvements to the way My Library saves means you should have more space for your creations.
•	Celebrate good times but come on, we don’t need to see the pack celebration screens over and over. They should only show the once now and viewed new Objects shouldn’t reset to look like everything is new again.
•	When you select Save Household you expect the household to be saved, right? Thought so, now your Saved Households will save to My Library as you would expect. 
•	If you chose to change your Display Settings, the virtual cursor won’t be prevented from accessing all of the UI if you opt to display things smaller.
•	The Action Queue is meant to expand to fit in all the queued actions, that is how we came up with the name. What it shouldn’t do and doesn’t do anymore is expand to the top of the screen just because you chose to speed up time.
•	Travel and romance are two of life’s luxuries. That is unless you managed to have “Travel” queue up after performing the “Ask on Date” interaction. Then you just had a mini nightmare because you found yourself stuck in Manage World. We released the controls from the UI and now you can take your date globetrotting without the worry of getting stuck looking at where you could have visited. 

Get to Work
•	Returning to active lot will no longer spam the action queue while you are at work in the scientist career.
•	The returning to active lot interaction won’t queue and cancel repeatedly if you decide to idle in the alien world.
•	In the videos out of Roswell they got up close with an Alien and now you can too while creating an Alien in CAS. Like other Sims, you can switch to detail edit mode and get closer to the extra-terrestrial Sims.
•	Ever visit a new place only to think that it feels familiar but not quite right in some way? That happened to us when visiting Sixam and realizing that it didn’t look as we expected so we got the ground crew in and updated the place.

Vampires
•	Receiving a welcome phone call from Vlad can be exciting, I mean, how often do you get a phone call from a vampire? Getting this unique call shouldn’t stop your controls from functioning so we addressed that. 

Dine Out
•	Canceling object placement of objects selected through Lot Type requirements will no longer put you into one of those super-secret areas in the UI.
•	Editing an employee uniform won’t send your controls across the screen no matter how your employees feel about their new uniform design.

City Living
•	When you load into San Myshuno the virtual cursor shouldn’t get stuck. It used to, but now it doesn’t.
•	If you are lucky enough to get an invite to a festival but unlucky enough to have a parent chance card appear at the same time you’ll be happy to know that you’ll keep control of your World and Sims.

As we approach the half way point of 2018, we bring you an update which addresses some of the feedback and reports we have been getting. We didn’t stop there either, we spent some time Spring cleaning to help get things in order.

What’s New?

When you are picking where you want to travel to and live, navigating the neighborhood could be a little fiddly on the Manage World screen. We have added the ability to switch to the virtual cursor on the Manage World screen which means you can pick where you want to go or live with extra precision.

Since the last time we spoke, we also spent more time looking for those pesky invisible UI elements which you can find yourself in and have stopped them playing mind games with you. A usable UI should be a visible UI.

General Issues
-	Sims like to hoard things in their inventory, some might say that they have stacks of belongings. Those stacks could be better used by being sold off to earn some extra money. While you could do this one at a time, that meant it took longer to get paid. Now, stacks of items can be sold from the inventory just as easily as it’d be to sell a single item.
-	Sometimes the Main Menu would suggest you didn’t have Grim’s Ghoulish Guitar when you had linked your account. We told Grim he couldn’t have his guitar back and that it belonged to you now. The Main Menu should now correctly reflect whether you linked your accounts and whether you have the Grim’s Ghoulish Guitar.
-	While we are talking about it, the way you claim Grim’s Ghoulish Guitar no longer tells you to sign up for a newsletter, instead you simply link to your EA Account and the guitar will be all yours.
-	Parties are better when you have a group of friends. Now, when your friends come over, you can complete some group party objectives.
-	Opening the Options Menu while the Pie Menu is open won’t cause you to become stuck on the Pie Menu. Although there are worse things to be stuck with than pie. Mmmm… pie!
-	When your Sims age up, you’ll no longer get stuck in the Sims info panel if you happen to select traits in the Aged Up! panel.
-	How many beds does your Lot have? H! Doesn’t make sense, right? Now we only allow numbers to be entered when adding details to your lot info panel for number of beds and baths you have.
-	Changing the category of a styled outfit will no longer make your Sim wear the first outfit. Instead you can style them to whatever outfit looks the best.
-	Getting access to new packs is something to celebrate. That celebration should be brief and not something that continues into CAS. Celebrations are short and to the point to keep that hype buzz feeling going.
-	Using the eyedropper while building caused performance issues, this has been improved. So, go crazy copying those patterns and decorating all your rooms with the same wallpaper. Unless you have style then don’t decorate like that… Please!

Get to Work
-	Sometimes your Sim looks so good that they feel the urge to take a selfie. Now they can snap away without you needing to worry about temporarily losing control. Although if your Sim looks directly at the flash, we can’t guarantee they won’t see floating lights for a while.
-	Mirrors should be for checking out that your tie is straight or to find out why everyone keeps staring at you, what they shouldn’t do is flash blue. Now they won’t, leaving your Sims to admire themselves for as long as they like.
-	Making your employees look good needs them to have a professional looking uniform and that decision can be tough. What isn’t tough anymore is that the controls for the sort dropdown won’t go off screen now.
-	Aliens might have the technology to fly across the vastness of space but what they weren’t meant to have is the ability to prevent you changing their appearance, so we took that ability off them and now you control what your Alien Sims look like.
Vampires
-	Vampires appreciate being listened to, so we made sure you can now scroll through the full welcome text with Vampires.
-	When you have the Dark Form of a female Vampire in CAS, you probably don’t want to annoy her by selecting the personality panel and causing issues. We didn’t want to get on her dark side so now the personality panel will no longer cause problems.

Dine Out
-	When you take pictures of your delicious food, you intend everyone you show your picture to, to be amazed by the fact you took the time to take the picture of your food going cold. What you don’t expect is for people to mock and comment on the fact your picture is under exposed. Now, prints of Food Eaten will show in full color quality, nicely exposed and with a perfect composition.

City Living
-	Everyone likes to Dream Big in the city. What they don’t necessarily like is having actions interrupted by those dreams, so we told the Sims to Dream Big on their own time or at least not let it interrupt what you want them to do.
-	While the San Myshuno's "Stargazer" Lounge is very glitzy, it shouldn’t cause your Manage World view to flash so we asked Stargazer to tone back the pizazz.
-	Living in a city can feel crowded at times, which isn’t helped when the Lot highlight for 21 Chic Street Apartments and Culpepper Apartments adds to the confusion of where you live. The correct Lots are highlighted now making it easier to know where you are going.

Now while we roll up our sleeves, use a large amount of elbow grease and continue with the spit and polish, you should go and enjoy yourselves.

Mighty Simmers, on the Ides of March I present to you another exciting update! A turning point in your Simming journey, and control by which you do it.  In agreement with Julius Caesar -- experience is the teacher of all things.  

What’s New?

We heard that the camera and virtual cursor movement was too quick, so we put the speed of the controls in your hands with new camera and virtual cursor speed adjustments.  Change to your liking in the Game Options. Not only can you select how fast the cursor moves, you can adjust how much it accelerates to get the control scheme more to your liking.

Someone also told us in quiet whispers that you like to place multiples of things without having to select it from the Build / Buy window each time. Be really quiet about it; but now you can use our new and improved clone stamp feature to place the same object over and over and over and over.

General Issues
-	Sometimes the UI got a little ahead of itself.  Sometimes the part of the game you thought you were controlling wasn’t necessarily the thing the UI thought you wanted to control. So, we sat the UI down and told it to do as it is told. That means you should find yourself having to back out of UI elements less often.  Unless you enjoy backing out of them, of course.
-	The Grim Guitar now gets its own limelight on the Main Menu. You can check out how cool it is without even needing to load into a World. Plus, if you haven’t linked your account you can do that from the Main Menu to claim the Grim Guitar for yourself.
-	Talking of the UI, there were some sneaky UI elements that chose to remain hidden until you found them. Those hidden bits of UI should now only show when you want them to.
-	While we want you to know that adjusting the Sim count can affect your game, we won’t lock you behind a warning screen when you set it to Unlimited anymore. 
-	Some things can be so good that they name it twice, but that shouldn’t count the songs you write. While we aren’t dismissing the quality of your songs, we think you should only need to name them once before you can license them.
-	Transferring Sims between households is great, but we heard that being limited to just the played households didn’t give you the options you’d like. Well, now you can show un-played households during transfers.
-	If you worked through the Personality Panel tutorial, you might be wondering how it ends. Well with the addition of Tip 7 of 7 you can complete your tutorial journey.
-	When navigating the Options Menu, the number of options could be overwhelming, with little to no information about what the options did. We found the tool tips for the Options hiding away and have put them back in their place, so now you can see what each option will do before you adjust it.
-	Rotating roof tops might be limited to musical chimney sweeps but the ghost previews are not something everyone should see, so we dealt with them accordingly. 
-	Placing your family into a lot can be a tough choice and the first lot you pick might not be the one you want. Backing out of the lot will now let you pick another lot rather than deselecting your entire family.
-	My Library felt a little too small with a limit of just 50 items, which feels more like a book shelf than a library. We knocked together some more shelving space from our neighborhood flat pack store and now it truly is a My Library to be proud of!
-	When you are super proud of your creations, you want to describe them in detail for My Library to show. You can now scroll those extra-long descriptions rather than reading just the first part on replay. 
-	Whims can be so whimsical but that doesn’t mean you don’t want to pin them, all of them at times. Now you can do exactly that.
-	Talking of Whims, if your Sim is out exploring the world or working you won’t get the hover tips for their Whims until they return to the active lot.

Dine Out
-	Business decisions are important and occasionally you might get cold feet and want to backout. Previously the Sims selling you a business wouldn’t let you back out of your purchase. The authorities didn’t appreciate this, so now you can back out on the World selection screen if the purchase doesn’t feel right.
-	Purchasing a restaurant in Live Mode will no longer cause graphical issues.
-	Sims can now plan a social event while dining without causing you to watch the UI panel with no way out.
-	Editing your Host Outfit in CAS no longer leaves the menu active on screen.

City Living
-	City apartments will no longer obstruct your view of the city when you decide to leave the apartment view.
-	When you move to the big city you generally want to take your kids with you, at least until they reach adulthood, without losing functionality. While we addressed the functionality problem, we can’t help your kids get a job and move out even if they are in their 30’s.
-	Sims can answer the call to work in the city without leaving you stuck answering the phone unless you have a chatty boss.
-	Tooltips will no longer appear over the UI icons allowing you to see what you are selecting.
-	The Spire Apartment no longer hides a secret hidden UI, we know you appreciate your Sims secrets, but this wasn’t one of them.

Hey Simmers. Happy 2018!  Now that the eggnog is past the expiration date, and you’ve found the last of those pesky wrapping paper bits from under the sofa let’s have some real fun!

• You wanted to be able to freely rotate objects, and now you can! With free rotate you can rotate objects to any angle - thirty degrees, thirty-two degrees... thirty-one... Forty-eight clockwise, nine counter-clockwise, three clockwise… Oh gosh, that’s something different! Forget I ever said that! 
• When you own a restaurant, let the food to do the talking and not the questionable décor when placing your eatery from My Library.
• Sometimes you just want to back out of a decision and now you can, with added reliability.
• It’s come to our attention that it is rude to ask someone their age, so we decided to be polite and not ask when you switch between an Adult Vampire to a Toddler in CAS. It can be your little secret.

Howdy Simmers.  Nice spread you got here for the holidays.  To add to your eggnog and cheer, I have some delightful updates for you.  A smattering of stocking stuffers, if you will.  Snowy the Sandman, Surfin’ Santa, and Flip-Flop Wall Lights to brighten your décor.  It’s just like Christmas but in the Summer. Come to think of it, it’s just like normal in Australia!
 
What’s in the stocking:
 
• ‘Soft, what light through yonder window…’ we improved the ambient lighting system, meaning the sun can shine through windows now.
• Not all Save files are created equal, or even at the same time.
• Sometimes you just want to pick up where you left off by hitting PLAY. Wait… what save was I playing last time? Looks like I can just hit PLAY and see.
• Woo! you can search for sinks again without un-placing your toilet.
• Master Volume settings are respected between game sessions. No more unexpectedly waking the rest of the house up with the sounds of…well… you know… anything.
• More reliable Tracer movement and improvements to the Virtual Cursor. I’ve got nothing to say about this; it is what it is.
• Am I the only one that makes laser noises when zooming around the screen? Well, now in-game noises will match better and drown you out.
• Improvements to hover tips being displayed at the correct times. We’re working on it kids. There’s a lot of hover tips.
• After you rotate an object in your house, why not copy the room and walls and expand to have more room to move around? 
• Placing live wall art can be tricky, especially if you aren’t told where it can’t go. Now we’ll guide you in where it looks best.  Everyone’s a critic, even the walls. They’re a bit easier to understand now, though.  Of course, you could enable the bb.moveobjects cheat and put it where you feel it looks best.
• The Personality Panel tutorial won’t interrupt you anymore when you’re creating a Sim through Manage Worlds
• Like to move it, move it? Now you can.  If you want to Move House after using Move Lot, you can.  Just remember to always back it up, back it up.
• Removing the last item from a category in My Library won’t result in partial loss of functionality.  This is why I never made it as a surgeon: Is this heart-shaped bit important? Oh. Oh, OK, let’s put that back then…”
• Adjusting the placement of your mailbox won’t prevent you from placing other objects.
• Using the Eyedropper tool no longer disables controller buttons.
• Rotating rooms will no longer cycle the Build Mode catalog at the same time.  I like multitasking as much as anyone, but we have to draw the line somewhere.
• Flooring controls will continue to work after placing a floor pattern from a Styled Room. Even though that pattern really tied the room together, now you can use other patterns in other rooms.
• Backing out of holding an object from a Styled Room will no longer cause loss of functionality.  If you drop something, you’ll be able to keep using your fingers now.
• While we don’t always agree with everyone’s design choices, we shouldn’t be the only judge of taste, so go ahead and select the Design Tool after managing a Styled Room.  (We might still judge, but quietly. You know we’re watching you, right?)
• Exiting the Bride or Groom picker will no longer cause an unhappy ending.  No, that WASN’T a sign from the universe that I was making the wrong choice.
• If you return to the Main Menu from the Objects by Function section, then that is your choice and we accept that.  Shopping can be a daunting task, but now you can move if you just decide you have had enough of it.
• Not a speck of coal here.

Hiya Simmers,
So here we are on a momentous day!  The Sims 4, on your TV, with a controller!  Did you ever think this day would come?!  Don’t answer that, it was rhetorical. 

Like every special day there is a huge amount of research, planning, work, and running around like mad lemmings that goes into it.  This is our recital, and it was important for us to rock it, right on time.  Things are bound to get missed, or sometimes, turn out… unexpectedly.  Otherwise, I wouldn’t get the opportunity to write you all these little notes.  And, I cherish these notes.

So, what happened was: we fixed some stuff.  Lots of stuff. I mean, a normal amount of stuff, for a game of this size, right?  All with the goal of making this play and look really darned awesome on your TV. There’s so much here and you want to get on with playing, so here are the highlights:

• Controls.  We think they’re very vital. They’re tricky, tricky, tricky, tricky… 
• Crashes.  Zoom in with the camera and turn it all about. Install, uninstall, reinstall, and shake it all about. Dance the Hokey Pokey with the network cable.  It won’t crash -- now, that’s what it’s all about!  (Disclaimer: Do anything not listed here and it might crash. Let us know if it does.)
• Some things looked wonky.  We unwonkified it, mostly anyway.
• Everyone can now use the Holiday Celebrations Pack.  No more age restrictions on ugly holiday sweaters. 
• Teens now have the right number of trait buttons.  But really, how many buttons do we need for surly, know-it-all, professional eye-roller?
